Vasily Kafanov was discovered yet over a decade ago by such glamorous international celebrities as Michelle Pfeiffer and the world-known opera and film director Franco Zeffirelli, who became his first Western collectors. His works were collected later by the family owners of Hermes stores, Leonardo De Caprio, Fisher Steven, and the Smashing Pumpkins. A major book showcasing Vasily Kafanov’s four decades of artistry, was published in conjunction with his retrospective exhibition, showcased at Alexandre Gertsman Contemporary Art Gallery.
